MILLER FLOURISHING IN JAPAN
Paul Hassall 06 July 2008
Alex Miller has made a promising start to life as the new manager of JEF United Chiba.
The former Reds first team coach arrived in Japan in May admitting he had no illusions over the task facing him with his new club rooted to the foot of the J League and without a win in 11 matches.

However, Miller - who joined Liverpool in 1999 as chief scout before becoming first-team coach following the arrival of Rafa Benitez in 2004 - has already begun to transform their fortunes and led his new side to a six-match unbeaten run in all-competitions prior to this week's 1-0 defeat to high-flying Nagoya in the first leg of their Nabisco Cup quarter-final.

Liverpool's first game of the summer at Tranmere on July 12 will be shown LIVE on the club's website for e-Season Ticket holders to enjoy. Click here to visit our BRAND NEW e-Season Ticket preview area to find out what else you can enjoy for 13p per day
