VOTE RESULT: TORRES' BEST GOAL

Fernando Torres' virtuoso goal in the must-win Champions League clash in Marseille has been voted the best strike of his first year with the Reds by supporters on the club's official website.

Yesterday marked the first anniversary of El Nino's Anfield arrival and to mark the occasion we asked you to vote for your favourite one of his 33 strikes.
We made the decision process a bit easier for you by whittling that down to 10, and after a closely contested vote, you opted for the strike that saw him bamboozle the Marseille defence before coolly placing the ball home to claim the all-important second goal of a match the Reds went on to win 4-0.
The seemingly effortless goal pipped his fine finish in the 1-1 draw at home to Chelsea - his Anfield bow - into second place while the strike he fired in at the Kop end in the Champions League quarter-final at home to Arsenal was third.
The top five were:
v Marseille (CL away): 25 per cent
v Chelsea (home): 24 per cent
v Arsenal (CL home): 23 per cent
v Inter Milan (CL away): 14 per cent
v Newcastle United (home): 5 per cent
